Regardless of our differences, one thing unites us, and that is art: through music, beauty, laughter and general sensory stimulation, we can relate to one another. At RoleModels we accept a key select people to work with, for intensive individualism.
We wish to assist everyone to know themselves, and to express themselves through their natural talent.
We are internationally established so that at the very least we can help you to find your role model.
VISION
To promote critical thinking through and about art in a world that has become immersed in the matrix of cyberspace. We encourage and support you to re-connect with who your parents said you shouldn't be and your teacher said you couldn't be. Together we are a fast-growing community of committed leaders, visionaries and revolutionaries. We can all make this a more attractive, harmoniuos and sustainable planet, one person at a time.
BUSINESS MODEL
Bricks and Clicks: we have both brick and mortar locations as well as an online presence. We offer services and products from both our citywide pop-up shops and events to secure online transactions.
FOCUS
High traffic while maintaining long term relationships with members, clients and partners. We vigorously reinforce the intellectual property of artists. In order to improve the quality and the quantity of our services and network, we conduct frequent evaluations of events -ours and others'- to determine what people really want and need.
HISTORY
Over a ten-year period we have connected with over a thousand artists now have more than 600 hand-picked, experienced and dedicated role models in over 57 industries, in 25 cities and on 4 continents, with as many related organizations. Our scouts canvas the city daily to recruit new members: “Each one, reach one, each one teach one.”
SLOGAN
“The World’s a Stage. Know Your Role”, borrowed from Shakespeare's play "As You Like It". Most of us interact with each other differently depending on the scenario, not unlike actors upon a stage. The key to being an actor is to never forget your role or character... One must also consider the results and/or consequences of a chosen (or accepted) role.
LOGO
2015 is the Year of the Sheep as per the Chinese zodiac. Our logo/mascot is Baaattler the black sheep, which represents several things: to avoid blindly following the herd, to beware of wolves in sheep's clothing, not to let the wool get pulled over your eyes... You get the point.
CHARITY
We have raised over $2,500,000.00 for Montreal charities for new youth educational systems and mental health and awareness.
CIRCA
Giving a flock since 2005. There is strength in numbers.
